...you paint your nails.

Nails #1:

NYC Skyline Blue Nail Enamel

Brash White Nail Polish

a. Paint your nails with a base coat

b. Add a flower and dots on your 4th nail(which ended up looking more like snowflakes rather than flowers...)

c. Finish with a top clear coat

Nails #2:

Maybelline Color Show Navy Narcissist

Brash White Nail Polish

a. Paint your nails white

b. Paint your nails the medium shade starting about 1/3 of your nail up.

c. Paint your nails the darkest shade 2/3 of your nail up.

d. Finish with a top clear coat

a. Paint your nails white

b. Make messy dots with the color of your choice. Wait till dry and do the other 2 colors.

Spring Time Nail Polish

I thought I'd do a post on the way I love to do my nails during spring. This is one of my favorite ways.

I really like doing my nails like this for several reasons. It's easy to do, and perfect for spring!

First paint your nails coral. Other spring colors like light violet, pinks, yellows, and spring green could also work for this look.

Once your nails are dry, make messy white dots on the tip with a fine nail brush. 

Top with a coat of clear.

And you're done! To get specific, these are the exact colors I used:

Brash - White nail polish with fine line art brush

Sinful Colors - Hazard - 952

Rhinestone Nails

I've never tried rhinestones on my nails before, but I decided to try it today. They stay on a lot better than I thought they would. I got them from Amazon in a color wheel (something like this) and they're easy to put on. Just paint one nail at a time, stick the rhinestones on while the nail polish is still wet, and paint a clear top coat.

 Step 1 - Paint your nails with a base coat of clear

Step 2 - Paint a coat of red

Step 3 - Use a fine tipped nail brush. I used the 'Brash White Fine Art Nail Polish' from Payless. It has a very thin tip making it easy to paint. Start from the corner of your nails, and slowly paint 2 white stripes. leave a small gap, and paint two more stripes in the upper corner.

Step 4 - Paint over a top coat of clear

I know it's only 2 days till Christmas so you probably won't get to try this, but I thought I'd post it anyway :)

Nail Trends

Recently I've been looking at all sorts of nail polish, and have decided that these are my favorite types I've seen people wearing :)

This stuff is so awesome. I have some friends who have this nail polish in pink. You paint your nails black, then paint a top coat of crackle nail polish, and it gives you this awesome design you see in the picture above. I'm going to try it sometime!

Yellow-green seems like the color that's 'in'. I've seen at least 6 girls in the last two days wearing a similar color on there nails. I love this color anyways!

The last trend seems to be glitter. What's not to love? It's bright, sparkly, and shiny. I like sparkles!

Designing Your Nails

What you need:
Nail Polish,
Nail Art Pen,
Clear Nail Polish
Step 1. Paint your nails in your favorite color. No, hot pink is not my favorite color, but it looked better with the design. ;)
Step 2: Once your nails are dry, use a white nail art pen to put an 'X' pattern on your nails. I start with an 'X' on the bottom, and then connect the next one above it. You can buy nail art pens at Target, but they're pretty expensive for just a pen... about $7!... and since I don't want to spend too much on my nails,  I found mine on clearance at Tuesday Mornings for $2, which was a much better deal :)
Step 3: Wait about 5 minutes, and then paint over a top clear coat. It will make the design last much longer. A tip for painting, is that you don't want to brush over the clear polish too firmly. It can smear the design, and so I suggest brushing over the clear very lightly.

You now have a fabulous design on your nails! There are tons of other designs you can do with a nail art pen, but this is just one of them. Be creative, and have fun!

The Wonderful Color of Teal

As many of you know, I am thrilled with the color teal, and so you can probably tell that I took the following pictures.

I painted my nails to match my earrings and bracelet, and so they are also painted my favorite color. LOL :)

So as you can see, I have REALLY been into teal lately! I just like the color SO much!
