This is a Goodbye.

It's New Years Eve. It seems like a good day to write something like this.

After a year or so of fun, it's about time for me to be done with Dreaming In Color. In the last months I haven't had nearly as much time to keep it up, and my interests are moving on to other things. So I've decided it's time to quit blogging. Maybe not permanently, but for now and on this blog at least.

So on this last post, I thought I would catch us up to where I am today. 

Well...

I still absolutely love journaling. I also love writing. It's my way of looking back on life in a new way, as words on paper. Reading is also one of those things I still adore in my free time. If you see me typing on the keyboard, holding a book, or writing in a journal, you can assume I'm happy.

Music. Oh, music. How much I've come to appreciate it. I've always loved playing some instrument, singing, or listening to it. But now it's become like the air. It's something I need to keep breathing. I've gotten into songwriting a little. Trust me, don't expect anything amazing anytime soon, but writing lyrics and melodies just for myself keeps me in a good mood. I've also picked up the ukulele recently which has been quite fun. And when I'm not playing or writing something, I've got my ear buds in. I relate to lyrics so easily, and they really do help me get through life. All those happy times and hard times, songs are there for me in every situation and right when I need it the most. That's just part of the reason I love listening to music so much.

Well, that's about it. This is me. I'm not perfect. I'm still awkward. But I think I'll be just okay.

Thanks for reading for all the months you have! I can't wait to see what else is to come in the future.

My Weirdism.

I know... weirdism is not a word, but it is now. I have meant to blog some more recently, but have been super busy with super important stuff... like playing an excessive amount of Draw Something, procrastinating my biology book, and laughing really hard at really regular stuff. I know... good things to do in my spare time, right? ;) Moving on...

Today I discussed how weird I can be with one of my friends. I have my normal days, and other's are just awkward... speaking of awkward, I apparently recorded myself on the webcam the other day by mistake... don't you just love it when that happens? You realize that if you really look like that while your on the laptop, it may be good to just start dragging it into your room and closing the door. I think I've said enough...

On Emily's Pintrest. Couldn't help but posting it, since it is SOOOOOOOO true for me. Literally, I started laughing when I read this since it is JUST like me. Music is so awesome, and I seriously start 'acting out' the song I'm listening to ALL the time. Mouthing words, and 'performing' the song. This is becoming my desktop background ;)

Liebster Award

Emily, who has the awesome blog Sunshine Girl, has tagged me for the Liebster Award! Thanks so much! So how it works: I tell you 11 things about myself, answer 11 questions Emily asked me, and ask 11 questions of other bloggers who I think should get this traveling award... up to l1 bloggers that is ;) BTW, Liebster means "Sweetheart", "Dear", or "Favorite" in German depending on what  translation you use. Also, if you're awarded, no tag-backs!... and you have to tag a blog with 200 followers or less.

So first random stuff about me:
1. I'm the only girl and middle child of my family
2. I absolutely love McDonald's Frappes
3. I can not wait to get my driver's permit
4. I go outside and take pictures of random things for no reason
5. I used to have phone phobia, or whatever you would like to call it... basically fear of talking to people on the phone.
6. I am overly competitive
7. If you asked me to name my favorite singer, you might be listening to my list of favorites for an hour or two.
8. I loose and break my earrings really often
9. People often mistake me for my age, and I am easily insulted by it. ;)
10. I spend maybe too much time blogging, emailing, and Skyping.

1. Do you play an instrument?
Guitar and Piano, although I don't think anyone would want to hear me play them ;)
2. Do you play a sport?
I am formerly a bowler, and will now be playing basketball!
3. Have you ever been ice skating?
Yes, I think twice. I love it, and am bad at it ;)
4. Can you blow bubbles with bubble gum?
I think... It's been a while since I've tried, but I'm pretty sure I can do it!
5. What's your favorite Bible verse?
I have tons of favorite verses. One I read recently in a devotional that I like right now is: "Live full lives full in the fullness of God. God can do anything you know- more than you can ever guess or imagine in your wildest dreams. Ephesians 3:19". I don't know what version of the verse that is, because in the NIV it sounds really different, but I like the verse anyway.
6. Do you sing?
Yes. I absolutely love to, but I sort of have the dilemma of I can sometimes sing really well, and sometimes I sound like a dying cat... Let's just say how well I sing depends on what I sing and how much I practice;)
7. Hot ice cream or cold apple pie?
umm, maybe cold apple pie? Ice cream will melt, apple pie will just be cold.
8. Dogs or cats?
COPLETELY Dogs.
9. Converse or flip flops? Converse are awesome, but I tragically don't have any! :( Therefore I will have to go with what I wear more often, flip flops.
10. Dresses or skirts?
I'd have to say I like dresses better, although I wear more skirts.
11. Computer or cell phone? 
Computer. I soooooo want a cell phone badly, but tragically I don't have one yet. Despite that though, there's so much more you can do on a computer.

The Crazy Weird Things I Do:

Presenting the list of Crazy Weird Things About Me: Yes, some of them are just really strange. Prepare to learn a bunch about the weird stuff I do:
1. One of my hobbies is clobbering my bracelets. Yes, clobbering them. I love bracelets so I wear them a ton, but I also love tareing them apart... You see, I play with my bracelets, roll them in hands, stretch them, slide around the beads, and the next thing I know they're either too stretched out to wear, or a pile of beads on the floor.
2. Whenever I have the hicups, I drink a glass of water with a paper towel covering it. Surprisingly, it works! ...And my hiccups do go away, but it's weird if you think about it.
3. I don't like eggs. Scrambled, sunny side up, omelets, hard boiled, and every other type of egg is disgusting to me! I don't know another person who doesn't like eggs besides myself, but I always think eggs smell like moldy socks, and taste like garbage... eew.
4. I am convinced that if I check someone elses blog, it's going to change every time I look at it... meaning I find myself checking someone's blog fifteen times a day, expecting them to have posted something new fifteen times. I told you these things were weird ! ;)
5. I get on phrases which I use all the time. Right now I say 'Do you get my point?' when I don't think someone understands what I say... and that happens often... ;)
6. Whenever someone asks me to choose something (like what we should do), I almost always say I'm 'indinfrent' 'anything's good' 'i don't care' or 'whatever works with me'. I never noticed that I barley ever have an opinion in what I choose until one of my friends pointed it out to me... so recently I've been trying to have more of an opinion, but I still find myself saying those words often :)
7. Sometimes I feel like I have to wave to every person who goes by our street, and since we live in the very front of the neighborhood tons of cars come in. Well, whenever I feel like I have to, and I'm shooting baskets outside, I'll often hide behind the car, to prevent people from seeing me. I have NO idea why I do that.
8. Occasionally I'll spray my nails with butter cooking spray after painting them, because it supposedly makes them dry faster. Yes, they do dry faster, but then my hands are all greasy and my fingernails smell like butter for the day.
9. Whenever someone asks me to pull weeds, I automaticly volunteer to clean the bathroom... you might be able to tell that weeds and I are NOT friends... not that scrubbing the tub is a friend of mine either...
10. I am convinced that everything is a finger food including green beans, asparagus, carrots, and baby potatoes... except one time I also wanted to try to eat my mashed potatoes with my fingers... that did not go to well... be thankful I've never tried that again... ;)
11. Whenever I have nothing to do, I go on the computer and do nothing... literally, I click on websites, and close them down the second they come up since I'm bored... how fun. ha ha.
12. There are a very few certain people who whenever they ask me a question, I freeze up and give an absoulutely STRANGE answer. Be thankful you're not one of those people, or you would probably not like me too much...

So I hope you have enjoyed reading about some of the several weird things I do! Hopefully some of you won't feel as bad about little things you do, when you read my list ;) Oh, and I'm really not as weird as I sound... then again, take that back. LOL :)
